Don’t be afraid to go into the mist,
Be excited because you don’t know where you will end up.
— Sophie Madden

I admit I had never heard about the Faroe Islands until the moment I met overland travelers in Iceland[1], who had come from Europe via the Faroes. When in Iceland I decided to change my plans to make a trip to Greenland, I decided I could just as well include a trip to the Faroe Islands.

Just having had an incredible time in Greenland I am about to start a new adventure. Via Reykjavik I fly to the Faroes. I am loving this part of the world. The nature is stunning and the energies are so fresh. I have so gotten used to going with the flow, that I have not made any arrangements for my time on the Faroes. Tomorrow morning I will visit the tourist information office and make a plan for my time on the islands.
Arriving at Vágar airport I realize that the Faroes are much more South than Iceland and Greenland and that the sun does go down here this time of year. I also realize I have made a miscalculation and instead of arriving around 10:30 pm it is getting close to midnight.
Waiting for my backpack to arrive on the luggage belt I am having a bit of a giggle over these mistakes and about the fact that I have not even arranged accommodation for the first night or an airport transfer. It is as it is. I am trusting there will be an information desk at this airport.
