What a roller coaster these past couple of weeks have been, since I spoke on stage at Op Hodenpijl on September 26th. Our entire group had been working and living towards the event since January. And then, in what felt like the blink of an eye, it was over. We all had left our comfort zone behind, stepping forward on our path, plunging into the great unknown. Most of us went through profound processes, facing what no longer serves us, embracing the invitation to heal what cannot come along on the next part of our path.
After summer in The Netherlands, enjoying precious time with family and friends, I felt blessed to fly to Egypt again. Egypt is where I can strengthen the connection to my inner core. Where I come home in me. Where I heal, and go forward on my path.
As soon as my feet touched the Egyptian soil, I felt the welcome-home-energy flowing through my body, giving me that tingly feeling of being truly alive and of being in the perfect right place. My love for this amazing country is a soul-level-love. It goes beyond words and the mind. It can only be experienced and felt.
Often, I am asked about my favorite place in Egypt. To me, there is not one favorite place or city. Each part of the country has a different vibe, holds a different energy and serves me in its own unique way. Whether it is the hustle of Alexandria, the silence and beauty of the desert, the magic of the Siwa oasis, the ancient sites of Luxor or the crazy traffic jams in Cairo, my heart shines.
This time around, preparing for next month’s tour and retreat, I am getting all of it in just a few weeks. From Siwa to Aswan I am reconnecting with the places and people playing a role in next month’s itineraries. The (former) travel agent in me is putting dots on the i with guides, accommodations and others, who are contributing their unique part.
It are the little things that make this trip special for me: a few hours with the camels for our desert track, a home-cooked meal with the family of our desert guide, sunsets, time with people who have over the years become friends rather than business partners, and visiting a few sites I had not yet been to.
These precious moments make me forget about the long days of travel.
It’s hard work :-)
I know why I am doing it, and I love it.
It’s not how I usually spend my time in Egypt. On the contrary, I like to take it slow, to connect with the energies and vibes of each place. That’s the experience I like you to have too. With plenty of time for the inward journey; the journey to your own sacred treasure trove. No two treasure troves are the same. Each of us has a unique path with a toolkit, dedicated to it.
While traveling to the places of next month’s tour and retreat, I am planting the energetic seeds to facilitate the upcoming journey and experiences for each of the participants. For each of them to (re)connect with their treasures, and to heal what is ready to be healed.
There are a few places available on both the tour and the retreat. If you feel drawn to being part of a unique experience with a small group, send me a message at mo@moniqueteggelove.com for more information and the itinerary.
