Fear is a powerful and often overwhelming emotion. It can freeze us and it can block us from acting. The way we react to fear determines the outcome. Do we use it for our highest good or do we allow it to keep us small?
From my early childhood I was told that fear is a bad advisor. Is it truly?
When I break it down, I come to the conclusion that fear is ‘only’ an emotion. Yes, an intense one. But, it is not a being. And while I can feel it, and perceive it as something real, it is only what I allow it to be.
What if we learn to see fear as a guide? What if we treat it as an old friend? A friend, who alerts us, teaches us and shows us the way. A friend, pushing us in the direction of a breakthrough. A friend pointing out the patterns we are holding onto, telling us we have a chance to break free from them.
We are the ones determining whether we see fear as a bad advisor or as a good friend, helping us on our path. When you can look at fear and see it as a guide or friend, don’t be surprised if it shifts into excitement.
Is fear keeping you from applying for that amazing job? What if you simply send in your application? Not applying means that you will certainly not get it.
Who are you not speaking to or reaching out to?
What is it that you think you don’t dare to do?
Do you truly wish to hold onto the doom scenarios in your head?
Do you truly wish to rule out a happy ending by not even starting?
What is the worst thing that can happen?
Why not thank your friend for showing you the potential?
Why not give it a chance?
Go for it!
You got this!
I was guided to write this tonight. I trust it will find its way to whoever needs to hear this. If this message hits home for you, know that you are loved and that your guides are sending you this message through me.
