Consistently wise decisions can only be made
by those whose wisdom is constantly challenged.

“That was fast”, the man walking his dog says with a surprised look on his face when he sees me for the second time in less than five minutes.
“Wrong turn”, I answer with a smile.
Arriving at Mook-Molenhoek railway station I easily found the way back to where I left the trail three years ago. However, coming from a different direction I have taken a wrong turn.
Back in 2021 I abandoned the trail with impressive, painful blisters under both feet. I knew I would come back to walk the remainder of the Walk of Wisdom. Here I am.
Taking my first steps on the trail again, I cast a glance at my feet. The barefoot hiking boots, that three years ago turned out to be a misfit for my feet, have found a new owner. Instead of sturdy boots I am now wearing a pair of barefoot sneakers; lightweight and lined with comfy soft fabric. I am feeling quite pleased with them even though they are not particularly suitable for rainy and muddy circumstances. Luckily, it’s summertime.
