It’s the not the destination, it's the journey.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Listening to the enthusiastic stories of fellow students about their trips to Bolivia, makes me rethink my plans. Even though I do not need to renew my Peruvian visa, which for many is the main reason to hop over the border, I get quite excited about the idea of visiting the neighbouring country. In part because it has a town with the exotic name Copacabana, situated on the shore of Lake Titicaca.
Danielle had already intended to explore Bolivia, and we soon find ourselves making plans. Hannah manages to get a few days off from her Spanish classes and we can count her in for Puno, Lake Titicaca and Copacabana. The itinerary is made and off we go. We will soon find out that there is always room and time for unexpected adventures.

Our time in Puno has been good, although it started with an interesting experience. I don’t understand why people try to take advantage of other people. Even taking into consideration local circumstances I have little comprehension for anyone misusing situations with foreigners to make easy money.
